Security
We at KeyTrack New Zealand Limited appreciate, as much as anyone, the importance and confidential nature of the data that we are uploading into the Internet environment.
During Stage 1 of the site's development, as a client, you will be able to view:
- E-File Notes made by the Law Firm
- Whether or not conditions in Agreements for Sale and Purchase are satisfied and
- Whether keys are able to be released, or collected on settlement date.
This information is of course confidential, to the client and any other nominated interested parties, should the client consent to this. Currently, no financial data (ie ledger reports) will be placed in the online environment, however that will change as the site develops.
To be sure that you can be confident that no other parties have access to your data, we have encrypted technology protecting the data on the site and only the "interested parties" that you have consented to, have access to your Transaction Status Report ("TSR").
Obviously, as with any other websites that give you access to secure data (ie your Bank's Website) it is vitally important that you keep your password secure and we recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone, or write your password down.
We are utilising a Comodo Security Certificate (40-120 bit encryption), which is renewed on an annual basis. In addition to this, all passwords are encoded/encrypted in database and any user may only attempt to login 5 times in one session. Different users are assigned different levels of access. This security feature ensures that once logged in, users may only view data relevant to them.
